Çanakkale CHP Deputy Bülent Öz, District Governor Gökhan Görgülüarslan, Biga Mayor İsmail Işık, Karabiga Mayor Muzaffer Karataş, members of the Municipal Assembly and citizens attended the opening of the City Park.
In his opening remarks, Mayor İsmail Işık stated that 15,000 of the total 32,000 m2 is grass. Işık, who stated that the project was the biggest social area in the south of Marmara, added; "We will complete 8,000 square meters with a sports facility and football field carpet.
The facility has an amphitheater for 600 people, an ice rink, a cafeteria, games and sports areas where the people of Biga can have a good time.We have increased our walking sites." Later, the city park was toured and introduced to the public.
